Restaurante Oliva: Tasarte's Local Beachfront Treat

Restaurante Oliva in Tasarte Restaurante Oliva in Tasarte

It's a long drive from anywhere, but Restaurante Oliva right by Tasarte beach does the staples well.

You don't come here for fine dining, but you do get excellent value and a setting that never fails to charm. Tucked in right below a sea cliff and with a beachfront terrace, Restaurante Oliva is about as local as it comes.

To get to Restaurante Oliva, just drive down the GC 205 road all the way to the sea. The restaurant is at the west end of Calle La Playa right by the beach and the cliff. You can't really miss it as it's the only one.

It may be remote, but it gets busy at the weekend: Book ahead at the weekends by calling 928 894 424 (Spanish only). Or just turn up before 13.00 to bag a table by the sea.

Tip Of The Day: Arucas Old Town Is Worth A Wander

There's more to Arucas old town than the great big church. Walk up the narrow cobbled streets behind the cathedral for great old Canarian houses and local street life, then head down narrow Calle Gourié to the High Street (Calle León y Castillo).
